system, Mount Angel Library, Alvar Aalto, Oregon, 1972

Aalto used a system of curves and skylights to let light in a certain way. He knew since it was a library that it would need light but at the same time not too much light or itd be blinding. He also used the hill as a way to shape the building into a curve to look as if its part of the hill.
