Structure – Large sweeping concrete load bearing walls. 




Spatial Order – linear curved walls that enclose spaces. 3 different zones of elevation. Enclosure through a "shell" like form. Rumor is said that the curvilinear form of the spaces was inspired by his encounters with women at the time along with his passion for the landscape. 





Program – Business district ground level and at the tip of the Casbah, a residential area in the heights with connecting bridges over the Casbah, and an elevated highway system containing residential high rises beneath it while connecting suburban clusters.




System – Elevated highway system giving access from residential to business areas.

Modernist intentions – Corb saw Algiers as a site for his conception ideas. He proposed a large sale experimental city that challenged the order of the existing life and culture. Although his idea might have worked for colonial Europe, his cocept failed to blend in with the scale and system of the area.
